A day after being proclaimed as the 17th president of the Philippines. President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos (PBBM) unveils his Cabinet appointees and bets.

PBBM tapped several qualifying individuals as his Cabinet members. Most of which have accepted his offer:

• Department of Education–Vice President-elect Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio 
• Department of the Interior and Local Government–Former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chair Benhur Abalos 
• Executive Secretary–Atty. Vic Rodriguez 
• Department of Justice–Cavite 7th District Rep. Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla 
• National Economic and Development Authority–Former Philippine Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan 
• Department of Labor and Employment–Former Labor chief Bienvenido Laguesma 
• Department of Migrant Workers–Migrant workers advocate  Susan “Toots” Ople 
• Department of Finance–Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas governor Benjamin Diokno 
• Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas chief–Monetary Board member Felipe Medalla
• Department of Trade and Industry–Ex-UP President Alfredo Pascual 
• Special Assistant to the President–Ex-congressman Antonio Lagdameo Jr.

In the same press conference where he names these qualifying individuals, PBBM says he is eyeing to appoint SMC Tollways president and chief executive officer Manuel “Manny” Bonoan for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) secretary. Bonoan is an engineer who previously served as DPWH undersecretary during the Estrada and Arroyo administrations. "He has spent almost his entire professional life in the DPWH. I know him very well, so I know he will do a good job," Marcos said of Bonoan. Bonoan has yet to accept PBBM’s offer.

As for the other positions that need filling in specifically: 

• Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)
• Department of Agriculture (DA), 
• Department of Budget and Management (DBM)
•  Department of Energy (DOE)
•  Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) 
• Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA),
• Department of Health (DOH), Department
• Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD)
• Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)
• Department of National Defense (DND)
• Department of Science and Technology (DOST)
• Department of Social Welfare and Development
• Department of Tourism
• Department of Transportation

 PBBM says he is willing to work with non-allies as long as they are competent and qualified. As for his presidential counsel, adviser, and assistant PBBM has not yet disclosed who will be part of his counsel.
