Will Metro Manila be placed under Alert Level 2?
Metro Manila which is currently on Alert Level 1 status since March might be placed under Level 2 according to the Department of Health. Cases of the Covid-19 continue to increase in number day by day which escalates the possibility of Alert Level 2. About 308 cases were added on the list on Sunday, June 12.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel on Friday, the Department of Health (DOH) says a different vaccine brand for your 2nd booster shot will be more effective in combating COVID-19.
“A different brand will be more effective because it tries to give additional protection outside of the regular or the homologous primary booster,” says Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, the head of the National Vaccination Operations Center. Government considering to redefine “full vaccination”

In Monday's Laging Handa briefing, Interior Undersecretary for Operations Epimaco Densing III said that the government will be considering giving a new meaning to “full vaccination.” It will now include the administration of a third dose or booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“Today, when we say fully vaccinated, it means you have been inoculated with the primary doses. We are looking into the possibility of redefining it so that when we say fully vaccinated, it should include the booster shot, or you should have been inoculated thrice,” Densing III said.

COVID-19: Philippines’ 3rd Leading Cause of Death
On the third loop of pandemic surge, Philippine Statistics Authority’s data (PSA) shows that COVID-19 is now the 3rd leading cause of death in Philippine history.
From January to October 2021, the death toll reached 604, 329. On this rate, 75, 285 were due to COVID-19 and that is about 12.5 percent of the total. On the other hand, the Department of Health (DOH) showed a recorded data of about 33, 796 deaths only.
