Rappler to shutdown; day before President Duterte steps down
Rappler CEO, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and journalist Maria Ressa announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission upheld its earlier decision and ordered the online news website to shut down. Filipino Lawyer shot dead in the US by an unidentified gunman
A Filipino lawyer, identified as John Albert Laylo who was visiting the United States for vacation, was shot in the head by an unidentified suspect.
According to a local source, Laylo who is 35, together with his mother are on an Uber ride to Philadelphia International Airport heading to Chicago to visit some family relatives.
