Here’s How to be Eco-Friendly During the Quarantine
By AJ Virtuz 08 Apr 2020 695

While everyone is inside their homes in the middle of the enhanced community quarantine, the Earth shows signs of its recovery. According to Scientists and Researchers, there's a dramatic drop in pollution during the Coronavirus quarantine.

Proofs that the world is also healing during the COVID-19 outbreak

Amidst the world's healing, here are the other things that we can contribute to our planet during quarantine:

  1. Turn that switch off

If it’s daytime, and if you’re just sitting at the corner, wondering what you are going to do for the entire day, you might wanna turn that switch off to conserve electricity and money.

  1. Turn that tap off

If you’re in the middle of washing your dishes or if you are brushing your teeth, you can turn that tap off and just turn it on when necessary. And if you follow the right way of washing your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds, you could save at least six gallons per day by turning off the tap while you scrub.

  1. Recycle as much as possible

You can recycle almost everything, from plastics to papers, etc. Before you throw it away, take a minute to find out if you could just recycle it instead.

  1. Avoid using disposable materials

Since you’re in your own house or apartment, it’s best not to use any disposable materials such as straws, plastic cups, tissue, etc. Instead, you can just use reusable plates, cups and other utensils and just wash it afterwards.

  1. Stay at home

Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, it is strictly recommended for everyone to stay at home to avoid the further spread of the virus.

On April 7, 2020, President Duterte formally announced the extension of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon until April 30, 2020. With that being said, let us take this crisis to cooperate and contribute to the preservation and protection of the biodiversity.
