Two couples supporting rival candidates, Marcos and Robredo, went viral on social media when they were photographed holding placards that said: “Ikakasal kami na si BBM ang presidente!” and the other one, “Ikakasal kami na si Leni ang presidente”  during campaign period.

Since election day has come to an end, netizens have been anticipating the results of the election 2022. Which couple will be wed? 

Supporters of outgoing Vice President Leni Robredo have been heartbroken by her apparent loss to President-in-waiting Bongbong Marcos, while BBM trolls have directed their attention to the pro-Leni couple after it became clear that the son of the late dictator would be the victor of today’s election. Marcos supporters relished in the fact that the Leni couple would have to cancel their wedding.

However, the couple’s fellow Kakampinks refused to let this couple be the target for bullying of these BBM trolls. Their fellow pink supporters have rallied behind the husband and wife-to-be by offering wedding services to make the couple’s wedding dreams come to life. 

Designer Gladi Echavarre posted to Facebook the viral photo of the Kakampink couple and said: “Please help me find this couple.

I WILL MAKE THE BRIDE'S WEDDING DRESS FOR FREE.

This lovely couple has been bashed and became the poor subject of ridicule.

Let's turn our loss & grief into something beautiful to our fellow kakampink.”. 

Generous kakampinks followed suit to Echavarre’s offer in the comment section with other wedding essentials such as pre-nuptial shoots, barbers to help the groom, catering services, flowers, hair and makeup, even their honeymoon destination and suite. Leni supporters have shown this couple “radical love” and support which their presidential bet has been all about. 

Meanwhile, the winning pro-BBM couple that supported the winning candidate have broken up, their relationship didn’t even get to last until election day. The guy in the viral couple photo, Frankieboy tv, posted to Facebook on May 5, 2022, 4 days before the election day, and announced their break up. 

“Sa mga nag susuporta sa amin at sa mga kapwa ko ka bbm sarah suporter sorry po  humihingi ako nang pasencya dahil hindi napo kami matutuloy e kasal nag hiwalay na po kami nang jowa ko pero  ganun parin po ang e boboto namin bbm sarah parin po hanggang sa huli.... Sa mga nag memention at sa mga umaasa sorry po naging. Pabaya po ako sa relasyon namin.  .... Mejo nasasaktan pa po ako sa nang yari samin kaya po hinihingi ko po ang inyong pag intende na nasa masakit na at mapait na oras po kami ngaun ...... D ko po muna e de detalye ang  ang lahat bsta po ako po ang nag kulang ako po ang may kasalanan ..... ......

Although the two have broken up, he said that he will still support the uniteam tandem BBM-Sara until the end. His fellow BBM supporters showed care to the post, some even proposed wedding services which won’t be an option anymore..

Two couples got different endings. The couple whose presidential bet lost, have won the hearts of fellow supporters and have turned their grief into something beautiful, while the couple whose presidential bet won, have already lost their relationship even before winning the election.
