Local governments in National Capital Region (NCR) agreed to prohibit unvaccinated individuals to go in malls, public transports and other gatherings. The whole region is under Alert Level 3 starting from January 3, 2022 until January 15, 2022 according to Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
With the rising number of positive cases in COVID-19, MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said that all mayors in Metro Manila agreed to adhere in Alert Level 3 health protocols. This announcement made the people alerted again and reacted on the recent controversy of a girl who were tested positive of the virus yet still went to a party in Makati City. The sudden rapid of spread of virus is being monitored and theorized to be caused by the public gatherings during the holiday season and the controversial Gwyneth Chua partying in Poblacion, Makati.
Anyhow, the Department of Health (DOH) encourages the public to triple all the precautionary measures and avoid going out if not necessary and essential.
