The bamboo face shields in the now-viral Facebook post of Mindanao Development Authority chairperson Manny Pinol was designed by Agricultural Engineer Junroe Barrios from M'lang, Cotabato.

The whole initiative was created to help support Cotabato farmers who have temporarily halted their jobs due to the pandemic.

According to Pinol, the group is just starting the enterprise and have been working from home, hence the need for support to establish a formal and orderly manufacturing area, complete with working tables, stripping, and sanitary equipment.
