Finally, after a decade, the sun has risen to the Los Angeles Lakers after winning this year’s NBA championship.
The historic victory of the LA Lakers dominated the Miami Heat by an over-all score of 106-93 bagging the victory for the first time after 2010.
LeBron James was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2020 NBA Finals, and earning it for the fourth time in four championship runs after he did so with Miami in 2012 and 2013, and with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 can surely claim at least a share of the title with Michael Jordan as greatest basketball player ever in the history.
It was a monumental win after the tragic loss of legend Kobe Bryant and a four-month interruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In James’ speech last January after the death of Kobe and Gigi at the Staples Center, he vowed to play the season in his honor.
“The one thing that we always shared was that determination to just always want to win and just want to be great,” James said. “I want to continue along with my teammates, to continue his legacy ... because that’s what Kobe Bryant would want.”
Done and done, James and the whole team has fulfilled his promise to his dearest pal.
As purple and gold confetti filled the air, James was so ecstatic and screaming to the ceiling. His wingman Anthony Davis, playing in his first championship series, was seen emotional with his head buried in his hands
In a report published by the LA Times, it says that Kobe’s ‘spirit’ hovered over Lakers’ NBA triumph as the team broke their huddles chanting, “1-2-3-Mamba!” throughout in their postseason run. They wore his [Kobe] T-shirts. They affixed their signatures to signs that carried his credo “Leave a Legacy.”
“Kobe’s presence was magical,” said Tim Harris, the Lakers’ president of business operations and chief operating officer. “It was like we were playing six on five.”
