For Jobless Jeepney Drivers, Lalamove launches “LalaJeep” in Quezon City.
Jeepney drivers are among the 7.3 million Filipinos who became jobless amid the COVID-19 pandemic. With this problem, as seen as a difficult situation for all the daily wage earners especially for public utility jeepney drivers, Lalamove launches a one-of-a-kind vehicle to cater to the delivery needs of the QC residents, the LalaJeep, in partnership with Quezon City local government.
The project’s goal is to help jeepney drivers who were displaced from work due to community quarantine. This initiative will serve as an alternative source of income while we all gradually adapting to the new normal.

San Miguel Corporation to distribute carabao milk to help dairy farmers
On Tuesday, June 16, San Miguel Corporation President (SMC) and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang released a statement saying that the company will buy excess carabao milk from dairy farmers from the Nueva Ecija Federation of Dairy Carabao Cooperative (NEFEDCCO) with the cooperation of the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC).
San Miguel Corporation was able to purchase a total of 5,000 liters of pasteurized carabao milk with the help of the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) and is now aiming to distribute these to 5,000 beneficiaries (mostly for children, elders, and frontliners) from six cities and provinces...

San Miguel Corp Chairman Danding Cojuangco dies at 85
Business tycoon and basketball patron Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco has passed away on Tuesday due to lung cancer at the age of 85.
Cojuangco, the chairman and chief executive officer of San Miguel Corporation, the largest food and beverage conglomerate in the country, was a former ambassador to the United States.
