Y A S! BTS’ Kim Taeyung or popularly known as V has set a new world record in the music scene!

After BTS' Black Swan took over Adele's iTunes record, V’s self-composed song “Sweet Night” which was a part of his good friend and fellow Wooga Squad member Park Seo-Joon's Itaewon Class OST which released on March 13, has officially registered at #1 on iTunes Top Songs chart in 103 countries.

The song has broken Adele’s record for the most No. 1s on the chart by a solo artist, which was set about five years ago, in October 2015, with 102 regions.

The group’s fandom, BTS ARMY was all proud of TaeTae’s new achievement for beating the record with no special promotion of the song at all.

Before the impressive feat set by V, BTS’ “Black Swan,” a track from their album Map of the Soul: 7, became the song with the most #1’s worldwide on the iTunes Charts on July 6, and no wonder if Taehyung ends up beating BTS' record as Sweet Night is just one #1 spot away from Black Swan.

V had broken PSY’s record with the highest number of iTunes Top Songs chart No. at  #1 for a track by a Korean soloist.
