Will Smith apologizes to Chris Rock after slapping incident at the Oscars
After the slapping incident during the Academy Awards ceremony last Sunday, Will Smith posted his apologies to Chris Rock on his Instagram account, on Monday, saying his behaviors were “unacceptable and inexcusable.
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong...” Smith wrote in his post.
The unexpected turn of events happened prior to announcing the Best Actor award, which the actor won, after Rock made a joke about her wife, Jada Pinkett Smith for her bald head, referring to her as “G.I. Jane”.
