Matteo Guidicelli on Wednesday posted the first wedding photo on Instagram with Sarah Geronimo for the first time after the news of tying the knot last February 20, 2020, at Victory Church in Taguig City.

“A day full of pure love, honesty, and genuine emotions. Yes, we got married. Mr. and Mrs. Guidicelli,” Matteo began his Instagram post.

Guidicelli expressed how happy he was and described the wedding as “almost perfect” until some unexpected ”event" happened.

“That evening was almost perfect until some unexpected events took place, but don’t worry I never ‘punched’ anyone. I will forever stand up and protect my wife just as how my father would protect my whole family,” Matteo said.

Contrary to what Jerry Tamara, Geronimo’s bodyguard, Guidicelli punched him after informing Sarah’s mother Divine that her daughter asked him to go home and leave her.

Mrs. Geronimo then decided to go to the reception and the situation turned tense.

Despite the glitch, Matteo promised that he will forever stand up and protect his wife just as how his father would protect his whole family.

Guidicelli continued to thank his family for loving Sarah like their daughter.

“I would like to say thank you to my family for loving Sarah like a daughter. Our family is growing and we are blessed. Papa and mama, thank you for deeply loving and welcoming Sarah into our family.”

“In time, with God’s grace and love, everything will heal and fall into place.
