Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s ongoing defamation trial brought more curiosity about Amber Heard’s past relationship with business tycoon Elon Musk.
Musk and Heard are believed to have been romantically involved between 2016 to 2018. The two have divorced from their partners almost at the same time, Musk from actress Talulah Riley which was finalised in 2016, while Heard filed a legal separation from Depp the same year.
In 2017, Musk and Head announced in a statement with People magazine that they had gone their separate ways.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO was named on Heard’s witness list for the trial, but he did not appear in court physically or virtually.
During opening statements by Heard’s lawyers they said that Depp has been “obsessed” with Musk. Another ex-husband of Heard, Christian Carino testified at the trial that Heard was already dating Musk while she was reconciling with Depp.
Elon Musk did not indulge in coming to court or taking a stand for ex-girlfriend Heard nor Johnny, instead he took Twitter, a social media app he just acquired in exchange for $44 million, and replied to a tweet about the issue. It was a tweet by Lex Fridman and him expressing his takeaways from the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial.
Here’s what Elon Musk says about that tweet:
The $50 million lawsuit filed by Depp against Heard, and Heard’s counter sue for $100 million has been the subject of gossip around the world and is dragged from 2018 up to present day.
