Oh no, mamang Pokwang is no chill!
Comedian Pokwang lambasted former PBB housemate-turned-vlogger Baninay Bautista on Twitter over an announcement in one of her videos that she was positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, Bautista posted a video on her YouTube channel disclosing that she, along with her boyfriend and other family members tested positive for COVID-19.
On Baninay’s vlog called “I TESTED POSITIVE,” Baninay shared her story about her experience of being a COVID positive.
The content creator did not mention that the video was filmed on an earlier date. But, in a pinned comment she mentioned that the video was shot on July 21, 2020.
On Wednesday, after watching the video, Pokwang reacted and unleashed strong words on a series of tweets against Bautista.
“Hoy Baninay wag mong pagkaperahan yang clickbait mo para lang dumami views mo! negative kana diba last aug.2?? july 21 ka nagkasakit tapos aug.2 ok kana negative kana!” Pokwang said on Twitter.
“Aug.16 naglaro ka samin nagpanic kmi kanina dahil di mo sinabi sa vlog mo na late upload nayan! pa trending ka!” she said, but it was unclear which show Pokwang was pertaining to where Bautista appeared.
Pokwang said that the said video caused her a panic, given that she has a young child and an old mother that belong to vulnerable age groups for the virus.
“Hindi mo alam ang panic na ginawa mo samin Baninay! may anak ako at nanay na 80yrs old! sana sinabi mo agad sa vlog mo na nag negative kana last aug.2 dahil aug.16 nag guest ka sa gameshow! Hindi mo alam pakiramdam ng isang ina na sobrang nag aalala sa ganitong pandemic!” Pokwang said.
Netizens are expressing their stand on the issue. Many are agreeing with Pokwang’s sentiments while others are defending Baninay.
