On Thursday, July 2, 2020, “Vlogger” and “Influencer” Buknoy uploaded a video of him belittling a tricycle driver which was marked as insensitive and offensive by netizens.

 “Ang gusto ko talagang sabihin sa inyo is wag kayong sumuko na mangarap. Wag na wag kayong sumuko na tuparin ang mga pangarap ninyo kasi kung hindi kayo magsu-sumikap sa buhay, walang-wala kayong mararating tulad nito,” the vlogger said. Buknoy then called the tricycle driver who passed by his video.

“Kuya, hi ka sa vlog ko. Hello! 'Yan kuya, sikat ka na,” Buknoy then said, revealing the tricycle driver in his camera as he laughed.

Buknoy’s video sparked negative criticisms from online users saying how insensitive the vlogger was and that tricycle drivers should not be underestimated as they are working hard to support their families and just victims of poverty.

Different personalities such as Kaladkaren Davila also reacted towards the issue.

The influencer again posted an apology video for his negative remark and promised that it would never happen again.
