After a month-long match-up of the elimination round, the National Lady Bulldogs ended their campaign with an unblemished record after defeating and sweeping the feisty UST Golden Tigresses on June 9 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.  The team finished strong with a 14-0 win-loss card. 

The match-up between the two universities was highly anticipated by the fans, whether NU will succumb to UST and taste their first ever loss or UST will make an upset win. In the first set of the game, both teams were head to head with a close score. Still, the attack of the Lady Bulldogs were too strong to handle, claiming the set 25-22. NU started to fire up on the second set, however, UST led by Eya Laure proved that they can make a comeback pushing the set score into a deuce. Golden Tigresses defense helped them put pressure on the NU's attacks but still fell short due to their errors. The score was 27-25 in favor of NU. In the third set, the Lady Bulldogs didn't waste any time as they pulled away early to finish the set which leads them straight to the Finals. 

On the other hand, now that the top three teams are already named, only one can claim the fourth spot. Adamson Lady Falcons will take on Ateneo Blue Eagles for a playoffs match up on June 11 to claim the 4th spot of the standing after making an upset win against the De La Salle Lady Spikers. The winner of this round will complete the final 4 cast of Season 84 women's volleyball and will compete for a step-ladder format semi-finals.
