It has been three weeks since enhanced community quarantine in the Metro and Luzon started, and as we are all urged to stay at home to keep safe from the virus, the usual life we used to have before suddenly didn’t matter at all for weeks now.
Many are trying to ease boredom and tend to do things to somehow make the most out of their days.
To cope up with the ‘COVID-19 blues’ we are facing right now, Netflix has suddenly become a thing to all as we escape from every day’s roller coaster of emotions.
Here are some movies and series you should watch to help you deal with all those emotions:
- SERIES: MONEY HEIST (La Casa De Papel)
The series that everybody is talking about. Another sensational Spanish work, complete with action, romance and lots of those irresistible cliffhanger moments.
Money Heist (also known as La Casa de Papel) is a Spanish television crime-drama series. The series was originally run and aired in Spanish Network Antena 3 from 2 May 2017 through 23 November 2017.
Netflix later acquired the rights to stream it globally in 2017. The first part of the series released by Netflix on December 20, 2017.
The series focussed on an enigmatic character named The Professor who plans something big and unique: to carry out the biggest robbery in history.
As of this year, Money heist is on its 4th season, this is definitely worthy of your time to binge.
- Korean Drama: Crash Landing On You
We are sure that all of you have heard about this famous k-drama of 2020.
Crash Landing On You, which premiered in December 2019, tells the story of fashion empire owner Yoon Se-ri, who accidentally crash-lands in North Korea while paragliding. She then meets Ri Jeong-hyuk, a captain of the North Korean army who hides and protects her as they figure out a way to return her to South Korea.
- Korean Drama – Itaewon Class
This Korean drama is truly one of 2020’s top Korean dramas as it depicts realities, pillars, and aspects of life.
This drama is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by “광진 / Kwang Jin” which was published from 2016-Dec-27 to 2018-July-3 via “Daum Webtoon“.
It tells the story of Park Sae Roy (Park Seo Joon) who is uncompromising in the face of injustice as he goes up against the food industry conglomerate in Itaewon. Meanwhile, Jo Yi Seo (Kim Da Mi) is a highly intelligent sociopath with the face of an angel but a completely different personality. Finally, Oh Soo Ah (Nara) is an honest and confident woman who was Park Sae Roy’s first love and is now an employee of a rival company.
- Movie: Bar Boys (2017)
"Bar Boys" follows a group of friends who pass the entrance exam of a prestigious (but unnamed) law school.
Torran Garcia (Rocco Nacino) is a cool and (over-)confident student, possessing a sharp tongue and photographic memory. Chris Carlson (Enzo Pineda) is a rich amboy with a distant yet demanding father, who was also a lawyer. Erik Vicencio (Carlo Aquino) is a son of an elderly security guard whose biggest dream is for his son to become a lawyer, whatever it takes.
- Movie: Bliss (2017)
The movie ‘Bliss’ is about Jane Ciego, a famous actress, who is mainly doing light mainstream fluff movies.
When she is offered what promises to be the "role of a lifetime" by writer-director Lexter Palao, Jane grabs the chance and even produces the "artistic and atmospheric" Cannes-quality film herself.
While shooting the climactic "demonic possession" scene though, a freak accident happens that sends Jane into a nightmarish world she could not seem to escape from.
Enjoy these movies peeps!
