Who’s the best? 2NE1 is! 

The K-pop Queens, 2NE1, says ‘We are the Best!’ as they left us all astounded after their surprise reunion on Coachella stage after more than 6 years on Sunday, April 17 (PH time).

Leader, CL was part of 88rising’s “Head in the Clouds Forever'' set. After performing one of her biggest hits such as “Hello Bitches” and “SPICY”, the crowd went wild (I think we all did!) as she was joined on stage by her bandmates Park Bom, Dara or Sandara Park and Minzy to perform their smash hit “I am the Best.”

The announcement of record label 88rising on their Weibo account, tagging 2NE1 and leader CL as part of the lineup "Head in the Clouds Forever" showcase, sparked speculation that the group would have a surprise reunion. Further, one of of most female K-pop performers at the time 

Park Bom’s announced that he was in L.A. and Dara, who has been very active on her socials, had been unusually quiet. 

This iconic group debuted under YG Entertainment in 2009, known for breaking the stereotypical “cute” and "sexy" image of female K-pop artists, with their hip-hop flair type of music and looks. They officially disbanded in 2016 after 7 legendary years. The last time all four members performed as a group was at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) in 2015, so their surprising reunion is their first in nearly six years.
