Calling all movie-goers out there, here’s a very special treat for all!
The first-ever drive-in cinema in the Philippines will open its doors to the public on Friday, July 31, 2020, at SM Pampanga
The drive-in cinema, called “Movies at Sundown,” will start its operation with only two scheduled screenings from Fridays to Sundays at 5:30 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. The entry fee is P400, inclusive of regular popcorn, bottled water, and beef franks.
A maximum of four persons is allowed per vehicle to watch on a 20-meter by 8-meter screen that has been raised three feet above the ground, with the sound to be broadcasted straight into their vehicles through a specific frequency.
In a note posted by SM Cinema on Facebook, the first movie to be shown there is "Train To Busan 2: Peninsula," the sequel to the 2016 hit Korean zombie flick "Train to Busan”.
Yes, we all do miss our pre-pandemic lives but in this way, we can still enjoy it without bypassing strict measures and protocols.
We can now watch movies without having to leave your car at a new drive-in cinema in SM Pampanga Amphitheater!
