The Pinoy pride SB19 performed in this year’s ASEAN-Korea Music Festival at Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and made the stage on-fire!

ASEAN-Korea Music Festival’s ROUND 2021 features talented musicians from the ASEAN member countries and Korea. The event aims to connect ASEAN and Korea through the universal language of music and to integrate international exchange of art and culture.

The hashtag #SB19atROUNDFestival landed on the top of Twitter Philippines’ top 10 trending topics last January 9, 2022 and still increasing in number of tweets on the next day. The five-member group started with the song “What” and followed by a soft-enchanting “Tilaluha” and “Mapa”. SB19 ended it with the bang by singing their most recent hit song “Bazinga” and first hit “Go Up”.

Moreover, according to National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) “SB” in SB19 stands for “Sound Break” which represents their goal to break and elevate the Filipino pop music.  This newly minted NCCA Youth and Sentro Rizal Ambassador is the first Filipino and South East Asian act to be nominated in the Billboard Music Awards as Top Social Artist alongside BTS, Blackpink, Ariana Grande, and Seventeen.  They are also the most tweeted account in the Philippines in 2020.  Recently, they have been nominated as Best South East Asian Act in the 2021 MTV European Music Awards.  For this iteration of the AKMF, SB19 was selected by KBS from a roster of nominated Philippine artists.
