Are you ready to embark on a new journey to become a Pokémon master?
The Pokémon Company has announced its first-ever multiplayer online battle game, Pokémon Unite, for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices!
The new game was announced in a live stream event called “Pokémon Presents”.
Pokémon unite will be a 5-on-5, real-time, and team-based strategy game that will share MOBAs powerhouses like League of Legends, Dota 2, and the current king of mobile MOBA, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
In Pokémon Unite, you will be able to choose from a variety of Pokémon characters such as Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle. Players will need to defeat wild Pokemon to level up, evolve, and learn new moves and skills. According to Gamespot, tall grass will also block vision, providing opportunities for ambushes, and there will be wild Pokémon to catch as well during battles.
The player who scored the highest points when the time limit runs out will win the game.
The game is being developed in cooperation with Tencent and Timi Studios, the studio behind another all-time favorite mobile MOBA, Arena of Valor, and Call of Duty: Mobile.
This will be the first team battle title in the franchise's 24-year history. No release date has been announced for Pokémon Unite.
Pokémon Unite, I choose you!
