The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said that there are a total of 235 cities and municipalities available for online booking appointment— STEP 2 as of June 12, 2021.

Online booking appointment is being done to project the number of registrants who will come to each PSA center. Also, to comply with the health and safety protocols of Department of Health (DOH) and Inter-Agency Rask Force (IATF).

Step 2 must be done in a personal basis as it involves iris scanning, front-face photo taking and fingerprinting. Either through online or house-to-house, Step 1 registration must be accomplished first before getting an appointment for STEP 2. Walk-ins are not encourage to come in each PSA center. As pre-appointment booking is observed.

Aside from existing PSA centers, SM Supermalls lend their 32 branches to accommodate registrants for the completion of Step 2. Here are some of SM branches available for online booking appointment:

Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Quezon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Leyte.

The PhilSys National ID of Filipinos has no expiration date while the same ID issued to resident aliens is only valid for one year.
