Ethel Booba, who used to be well-known in Twitter as someone who criticizes and gives remarks to the current Philippine administration and other social issues with her humorous tweets, recently posted on her Instagram a screenshot of her (turned out to be fake) twitter account with a text “beware of this fake twitter” in it.

Netizens become baffled right after Ethel posted this on her Instagram account and began to question things as it also brought confusion to them.

People begun questioning Ethel after claiming that her twitter account is a fake one as it was used before to promote her book and asked for support during Tawag ng Tanghalan as a contestant.

Also, in her recent vlog which was just posted yesterday, April 14, 2020, she disowned again and distanced herself from the popular twitter account @IamEthylGabison.

In the 30-minute video, Ethel claimed that she has not yet personally met the person behind @IamEthylGabison Twitter account.

It is also included in the video how politics is not her thing.

"Wala naman akong kahilig-hilig (in politics). Eh di dapat kumandidato na ako. Madami akong followers, baka nanalo pa ako’, Ethel said.

She also expressed her disappointment for using her identity in criticizing Duterte, Mocha, etc.

"Binoto ko nga as President tapos kokontrahin ko?" Ethel stated.

It is indeed baffling on how Ethel Booba suddenly claimed that the twitter account is not hers when it used to be linked on her Instragram account and also when she even discussed it and its content during her guesting in Gandang Gabi Vice.

Nevertheless, just like what the Netizens said, we are hoping that the truth will come out soon.
