The singer and actress also mourned the death of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter on Jan 26, the day of the sudden tragic helicopter crash.
“I was holding out hoping that it wasn’t true ! Lord his daughter too. #kobebryant #giannabryant” she wrote on her instagram post alongside a picture of the athlete while embracing Gianna sitting beside him.
To pay tribute to the other victims, both teams will wear patches with nine stars to represent all who were lost in the crash, including John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser and pilot Ara Zobayan.
The show will also include performances from musicians Chance the Rapper and Quavo as well as Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled. It has been almost a month but the death of the NBA star along with the other victims felt like it just happened yesterday.
