This is not a drill peeps! One of Pinoys’ highlights during the holiday season, the annual Metro Manila Film Festival, is pushing through this year, and it’s going online for the first time.
Since mass gatherings are still prohibited, The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced in a press conference on Tuesday, November 24, that the festival is heading online in partnership with Upstream and GMovies.
Co-presented by PH’s telco giant Globe, all MMFF 2020’s entries will be accessible anywhere in the world starting on December 25, 2020.
Usually, MMFF has 8 movies in its lineup annually, but since it’s a virtual edition, the number of theaters available for screenings won’t be an issue so the agency has come up with 10 approved movies on the list.
