Liza Soberano's signing with James Reid's Careless Music Label sparks breakup rumor with Enrique Gil
By Norman Son Adriano 21 Jun 2022 946

For several months, speculations about Liza  Soberano  jumping to another management created a buzz online. Liza was spotted attending various social events with different influencers and online personalities in the United States such as the Gold House Gala, the Asia Society Southern California 2022 Annual Gala, and the Identity 2022 Festival. She was  vocal about her dream of creating a name in the US.

Liza started her acting career under the wings of the popular talent manager Ogie Diaz for 11 long years. On May 31, 2022, her contract ended which allows her to have a freedom of choosing the next step of her career.

On June 21, Liza officially joined the Careless Music Label founded by James Reid. She was warmly welcomed to the agency by Careless Music’s CEO Jeff Oh and James.

"The fact that they work with young creatives, I’m currently 24, so it’s very exciting and encouraging to see a lot of people pursuing their dreams and passion at a very young age in a way that they wanna do it," she explained.

"I’ve done acting lessons, vocal lessons just to further develop my craft. I’m hoping to release some music in Careless. Movie and TV-wise, I’m still waiting for the right project to come, but there is a lot in store,” she added.

This jump start of the career of the young actress sparked rumors about an alleged break up with long time boyfriend Enrique Gil. However, Ogie Diaz, who remained close to the actress, denied the speculations. He said that when Liza learned about the issue, she just laughed about it and found it hilarious.

"Hindi po sila hiwalay dahil kahit si Liza, noong nakarating sa kanya ‘to, tawa siya nang tawa," he said.
