Dennis Padilla made headlines last week after airing his sentiments and frustrations about receiving no greetings on Father's Day with his children to Marjorie Barretto. Dennis posted throwback photos last June 22 of her two daughters, Julia and Claudia with the caption,
"Miss you both. You forgot to greet me last Sunday. Love you. God bless you more, " he said.
He also pen a message to his son Leon,
"Leon, you forgot to greet me last Sunday, Love you, ingat."
On June 26, Leon breaks his silence regarding the family feud with estranged father. In his letter, Leon apologizes if he wasn't able to greet him on Father's day as it has always been an 'awkward' day for them.
Leon also discloses that for almost 10 long years, they have been trying to rebuild the relationship but Dennis continuously 'burns the bridge' by telling and discussing private matters on social media, interviews and press conferences where people bash and judge them. He also revealed that his father always resorts to shouting, cursing and using hurtful words that traumatize them every time they try to communicate and resolve certain issues with him.
According to Leon, as the only man in the family, he will always step up in protecting her sisters.
"For years, I watched my sisters get torn into pieces because of your false narrative," he said.
Leon asked his father to stop public shaming as he wants to move forward in the safest and healthiest manner.
"I long for the day when I can greet you a 'Happy Father's Day," Leon concluded.
Hours after Leon’s letter, Dennis posted yet another throwback photo of him with his son apologizing,
“I am sorry leon... Miss ko lang kyo... God bless you more! Just want to know what false narrative I said in public? I have been reaching out to all of you for 15years in private.... đđâ¤ď¸” Dennis captioned.
