Begin Again KPOP Edition made history on Sunday, May 29, as the first international live concert in the Philippines.

Four South Korean acts namely: NCT Dream, SHINee’s Key, WEI, and Alice flew from South Korea to perform one night only at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

5 out of 7 NCT Dream members landed in Manila the night before the concert, just in time for them to drop their new single teaser Beatbox. Hot from their March comeback with a new album, Glitch Mode, NCT Dream headlined a two-hour show and Filipino NCTzens went crazy over NCT Dream’s performances of their popular songs: Hot Sauce, Dive Into You, Hello Future, and Glitch Mode.

“Long time no see. Sana okay lang kayo,” said Jaemin. While Jeno said, “Miss na namin kayo”

SHINee’s KEY says, “Personally, there is a reason I’m really looking forward to this event. This will be my first time being able to show my solo performance in the Philippines so I’m very excited”. 

KEY impressed many fans with his strong charisma and handsome visuals. He performed several songs including his newly released single “Bad Love”.

“We really want to spend time with our Philippine RUi to get to know you better,” said Daehyeon from WEI.

Six member group KPOP boy group WEI joined in the Begin Again fun. Members Dae Hyeon, Dong Han, Yong Ha, Yo Han, Seok Hwa, and Jun Seo prepared a spectacular performance to show their Filipino fans. It was WEI’s first visit to the Philippines, the group debuted in October 2020. The boys performed their hit songs such as “Too Bad”, and “Twilight”.

Fresh with a single out just last May 4, the girls of ALICE did not want to miss out on the fun. Members EJ, Chaejeong, Do-A, Yeonjae, Yukyung, Sohee, and Karin performed heartfelt ballads of love and longing in their hit song “Power of Love”, like WEI it was their first time to visit the Philippines. ALICE also known as Elris debuted way back in 2017.
