Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu distributes 1,500 food packages, and donates P300,000 for mass testing kits from her Bawal Lumabas mechandise as she posts on Facebook earlier today, June 30, 2020.

Started as an internet meme, Bawal Lumabas song turned out to be a blessing for Chiu as she took advantage of it to collect funds to use for donations in response to COVID-19 outbreak.

The kapamilya actress also thanked Shop and Share—a fund raising project that was founded by her co-actresses Angel Locsin, and Anne Curtis, in her Facebook post, for supporting her Bawal Lumabas merchandise.

Kim Chiu also documented how she started her fund-raising project and how she was able to raise funds with her merchandise on her Youtube channel uploaded on Monday, entitled Bawal Lumabas Journey

“Sobrang laking tulong talaga, as in nawindang kami nung nalaman namin kung magkano yung ido-donate mo, kaya maraming maraming salamat, marami kang matutulungan,” Kapamilya Actress Anne Curtis told Kim Chiu in her vlog after she chose Shop and Share to support her project. Angel Locsin and Dimples Romana are also in Chiu’s vlog.

Prior to her blessing, Kim Chiu had faced online criticisms and bullying after she expressed her disappointments about the shutdown of the television network, ABS-CBN.
