Jollibee Foods Corp (JFC) said on Monday, March 22 that all employees of its group of restaurants would be receiving free vaccination against COVID-19.

In a statement, the fast-food restaurant chain chairman Tony Tan Caktiong said the free vaccination program for its workers is consistent with the company’s commitment to employee health and safety.

“The company is also sourcing vaccines for employees’ dependents and extended family and household members. “Our employees’ safety and well-being has always been paramount,” said Tan Caktiong.

Communication efforts like a series of webinars on vaccine education have been started to help employees become more informed and make proper decisions on their health, according to the fast-food chain.

Jollibee Group said its vaccination program will be implemented following the guidelines from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and the Department of Health (DOH) in support of the country’s national vaccine program.

The Jollibee Group also said it is also sourcing for more vaccines to cover dependents and extended family and household members.

“Once the vaccines are available, the company will coordinate with local government units to optimize the available supply of vaccines,” the company added.

The vaccination program would also cover employees from Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwich, Burger King, Red Ribbon, Panda Express, PHO24, commissaries, distribution centers, support functions, and the Jollibee Group Foundation.

The JFC incurred a net loss of P11.5 billion in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 in various store operations. According to a previous disclosure, operations in four commissaries and some 486 stores were permanently halted last year.
