Aiming to bounce back from the economic pullback from the pandemic, Japan will lift the visa requirements for individual tourists this October. In line with this, short-term travelers from the United States, Singapore, and certain other countries can travel to japan without a visa.
Last week, the country raised the daily ceiling of inbound travelers from 20,000 to 50,000 to slowly warm up for the following modifications. By waiving the visa policy, it will also scrap the daily 50,000 entry cap of the country. Aside from the following adjustments, they would also eliminate the pre-departure COVID-19 tests to ease the border measures.
As remembered, before the pandemic started, Japan did not require visas for tourists from 68 countries and regions. With this new regulation about to commence in October, it would help the country to rebound in global tourism and benefit by capitalizing on the increased buying power of tourists all over the globe.
