On Monday evening, October 9, Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 2 Champion Janine Berdin surprised the online community after she flaunted her new look on the internet.

The post then started circulating on the social media after netizens noticed her transformation as she debuted her new purple ash hair color.

The online users also noticed the sudden change of her nose, which sparked compliments and support. One even said “Wondering if she had undergone noselift or rhinoplasty, still beautiful and talented.”

In October last year, Janine Berdin was reported to have diagnosed with “Cushing’s Syndrome.”

According to a medical website, Cushing's Syndrome is a disorder when the body produces too much "stress hormones," which helps control blood pressure. While that may sound positive and it can be cured, excess of it, though, can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

In the Tawag ng Tanghalan champion’s Instagram post, Berdin explained that it was early September last year when she was found to have had "vocal modules." But trying to treat it only led to her developing Cushing's Syndrome, she said.

Through the singing competition in ABS-CBN’s noontime show ‘It’s Showtime,’ Janine was able to fulfill her dream to become a famous singer. She is now one of the popular artist in her generation and tagged as the New Gem of OPM.
