Netflix has officially renewed the popular superhero show and is set to begin production in Feb. 2021 in Toronto, Canada with no word on the official release date.

Season 2 cast members returning for season 3 include Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore.

Steve Blackman (whose other credits include “Fargo” and “Altered Carbon”) will return as showrunner and executive producer.

Just 4 months from dropping their much-awaited second season, the world’s largest streaming site shared the wonderful news on social media.

On Twitter, The Umbrella Academy’s own account even retweeted the announcement to the fans.

Based on the Gerard Way comic of the same name, ‘The Umbrella Academy’ debuted on Netflix in February 2019 and the second season premiered last July.

The series follows seven super-powered siblings recoiling from their abusive past and reconnecting after years apart — all while trying to stop the apocalypse from happening.

There you go, spread the word peeps!
