Is Olivia Rodrigo the next Taylor Swift?
By Sheryl Barrera 05 Apr 2022 809

Dreams do come true!

Last night, the newest pop sensation, Olivia Rodrigo took home three Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album for “Sour” and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit debut single “Drivers License.” She was also nominated for Album of the Year (Sour), Record and Song of the Year for “Drivers License”  and Best Music Video for “Good 4 U.”

The 19-year old singer-songwriter, who dropped the album “Sour” last year which left the world in crumbles as they relate to every song and every lyric, is now having the time of her life!

Rodrigo explained in her recent film, driving home 2 u, the writing process of it is like creating a friend that understands her pain and what she was going through.

Imagine creating a whole album about failed relationships and winning a Grammy for it, sweet!

Even so, the world continues to be brutal to the young singer.

Since the release of her debut single “Drivers License,” the term “the next Taylor Swift” was and still glued to Rodrigo’s name–as both are quite a songwriter and take pride in it.

The two popstars headline yet again at the last 64th Annual Grammy Awards as Rodrigo mirrors a 2010 Taylor Swift moment dropping their Grammy as they post for a picture.

Fans, fortunately, took this well as they went on twitter and proclaimed it as a fate-like connection by the two artists.Rodrigo, however clears up any misunderstanding and says, “I am absolutely not the next Taylor Swift because there will never be another Taylor Swift, nor has there ever been anyone as good as her.” She also states that Taylor Swift, fifteen years her senior, is “the greatest of all time.” –according to an interview by Hits Radio.
