Light Rail Manila Corporation (LMRC) announced the train schedule for Holy Week 2022 last Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Starting from April 11-13 (Monday to Wednesday), Light Rail Transit-1 (LRT-1) will continue its normal operating hours. The first train will arrive at 4:30AM and the last train at 9:15PM (from Baclaran) and at 9:30PM (from Balintawak).
However, LMRC will halt train operations on April 14-17, starting Maundy Thursday till Easter Sunday to conduct their annual maintenance activities which, according to their website, includes “annual preventive maintenance works, rail replacement, replacement of wooden sleepers, and testing of all trains prior to the resumption of revenue operations.”
LMRC Chief Operating Officer Enrico R. Benipayo emphasizes that the maintenance activities that will be conducted will deliver a “better, more reliable transport” to its passengers. He also reminds the passengers to plan their trip accordingly.
LRT-1 normal operations will resume on April 18, Monday.
