It seems like someone had a vacation after the winning-stint from UP COVID-19 predictions!

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is the talk of the town again, but this time, it was his quick getaway in a Marine Park in Subic, Zambales amid the health crisis.

Netizens have questioned his visit amid the community quarantine status in Metro Manila that only allows essential travels outside the region.

Roque received a lot of backlash on social media after seeing his ‘vacation’ photos swimming with the dolphins from the Ocean Adventure Facebook page. The post has been deleted.

In an interview with ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo, the Palace Spokesman said that he stopped by the resort on his way to Mariveles, Bataan where he had agricultural businesses to attend to even before the lockdown was imposed due to COVID-19.

"I was trying to wrap up po 'yung mga negosyo ko noong wala pa ako sa gobyerno. Hindi ko naman po magawa nung sarado po ang Bataan," he told ABS-CBN's Teleradyo.

He assured everyone that he was the only visitor of the resort at the time and further reasoned that tourism is also allowed under MGCQ.

"Wala pong nalabag pero kung meron pong na-offend, paumanhin po. 'Di po natin intensyon na tayo'y may ma-offend po," he said.
