F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and Creamline Cool Smashers' historic volleybal match at the big dome

Two of the country's biggest and known volleyball club teams faced each other for the first time ever at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday, November 8. 

 

A historic match happened yesterday after the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and the Creamline Cool Smashers meet for the dream match every volleyball fans has been waiting to happen. The F2 Logistics skipped the Open Conference in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte in 2021 and the Invitational last August 2022. They joined the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) in 2021 after transfering from the Philippine Superliga (PSL) that took an indefinite leave of absence. PSL was the league where F2 created a dynasty and took home multiple championships.

 

The intense showdown between the two teams went on to a 5-setter game. The F2 Logistics booked its third straight victory after beating the Creamline Cool Smashers, 22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-29, 15-11 improving into 3-2 win-loss game standing. The come from behind win of F2 was led by their American import Lindsey Stalzer who unleashed 27 big points while Kim Dy chipped in 18 points with 6 monster blocks.Kalei Mau and Aby Marano backed up with 11 points apiece in the match. 

 

On the other hand, the Cool Smashers tasted its first defeat of the Reinforced Conference after failing to maintain its momentum. The Cool Smashers were already leading with 2 sets to none but errors haunted their game play dropping the 3 remaining sets to F2. 

 

Turkish import, Yeliz Basa led the scoring for the team with 19 points. Team captain Alyssa Valdez and Jema Galanza  scored 12 points apiece while middle blocker and Invitational Conference MVP Ced Domingo added 11 points on the 5-setter loss.

 

Kim Fajardo, setter of F2 was hailed as the player of the game registering 24 excellent points and adding 5 points to the team's win. 

 

F2 Cargo Movers are still on the mission to book their semi-final seat while Creamline are already on the front seat  together with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers. 

 

The much awaited clash between the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers and the PVL reigning champs Creamline Cool Smashers was attended by more than  9,000 solid supporters.
