After the intriguing statement of Ella Cruz “History is chismis”, she went viral again upon launching of the new VinCentiments episode History is like Chismis.

She claimed that, “Hindi ko naman sinabi na history is tsismis tapos diyan nalang sila nag-focus, hindi na sa paliwanag” and continue her dialogue with Senator Imee Marcos.

"Isa pa, hindi ko naman sinabi na matalino ako. Hindi rin naman ako nagmamagaling. Pero Sen, nagbabasa naman ako ‘no. Nag-aaral naman ako,” Ella added.

In which Senator Imee agreed and said, “History is tsismis with methodology, analysis, and proof.”

The satire film of Daryl Yap is being slapped by netizens in line with how it allegedly tampers some factual events during the impeachment of late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.

Prior to this episode, Ella said in an interview with The Philippine Star on her upcoming film Maid in Malacañang last July 2, “History is like tsismis. It is filtered and dagdag na rin, so, hindi natin alam what is the real history. Andoon na iyong idea, pero may mga bias talaga.”

Local historians are planning to take an action in lieu to how the Philippine History is being changed and politically stabbed by this consecutive events. The Filipino public historian Ambeth Ocampo laconically said in his social media accounts, "Don't confuse History and chismis. History may have bias but it is based on fact not opinion. Real History is about Truth, not lies, not fiction."
