The moment the Eternals had a quick lunch in Gilgamesh pod, Kingo mentioned that when Thor is still a kid, he used to wrestle with him at Asgard. Moreover, Kingo had a long bond with Thor’s father and the asgardians. Also, they happen to have a quick debate on who is mightier among the Avengers.
Thanos delayed the Emergence
Alright, Emergence is the occurrence in which a planet will be destroyed by an awakened Celestial and eventually, all living things and its planet will rise as new again. In this movie, Tiamut the celestial who is sleeping in Earth’s core was stopped by the Eternals from being awake. A conversation between Ajak and Ikaris mentioned Thanos snapped 5 years ago delayed the Emergence.

Ikaris- From the Tragedy of Ikaris. An angel who were told that coming closer to the sun can kill him.
Thena- From the greek goddess of war Athena.
Phastos- Inspired from the greek god of Forge Hephaestus.
Sersi- From the greek mythology character called as Circe who can transforms human into animals
Ajak- The greek hero who killed Acilles, named as Ajax.
Gilgamesh- From the story of Sumerians, the great Epic of Gilgamesh
Spirte- Her character is inspired from sprite. A supernatural entity in European mythology.
Kingo- Might have actually came from the Babylonian mythology god named as Kingu.
Druig- Let’s just give his name the benefit of the doubt that his character was inspired from an American folklore.
