The iconic K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has finally dropped its sweet anticipated collaboration with the singer, actress, chef, Selena Gomez, with their ‘Ice Cream’ single, along with a music video. Both the song and video tasted like a vanilla pop, as the music video featured Selena and Blackpink playing tennis rackets, serving ice cream, playing on the slide, also with a golden retriever.

However, some BLINKs were angry about the line distribution of the song, particularly with the lack of lines and screen time given to member Jisoo. After the music video release, Jisoo was the second biggest trend worldwide as BLINKs took to Twitter to share their disappointment for their bias getting the least amount of appearance on Ice Cream. Having only two solo lines in the second verse compared to her co members’ full verses-solo parts in the chorus, fans still claimed she slayed her short but sweet parts.

Ice Cream is the second official single from Blackpink’s upcoming first ever full-length debut album ‘Blackpink: The Album’, following ‘How You Like That,’ which was also a massive success as the music video gained more than 466,000,000 views, and more than 161,000,000 streams on Spotify as to date.

Blackpink first collaborated with the international star Dua Lipa with ‘Kiss and Make-up,’ then followed by the Grammy award winner Lady Gaga with Sour Candy. The first full-length album, which will be out in October 2 this year, contains over 10 tracks total, according to YG Entertainment.
