Nationwide voters’ registration has resumed on September 1, 2020, except in areas that are under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) or under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) said last August 15, 2020, after it was first suspended on March 9, 2020 until August 31 because of the health concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
COMELEC said application forms, which can be downloaded from their website, may be submitted from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 AM to 3 PM, at the Office of the Election Officer.

COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez reminded the public not to sign the downloaded forms yet, as this should be done in the presence of an election officer.
People are also encouraged to bring their own pens to the COMELEC office for safety purposes.
They will also be required to observe minimum health standards such as wearing of face mask and shield, and fill out a health declaration form asking them to disclose their travel history and recent health status.
