“That’s it, positive. It’s just as what we suspected early on.” Kapuso veteran comedian Michael V., also known as “Bitoy” announces on his latest vlog that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, July 20, 2020.

In his recently uploaded video, Bitoy documented his journey on his self-quarantine before he went through a swab test until he got the result. The comedian showed some clips from his previous vlogs on the first part of his vlog where he manifested flu-like symptoms like cough and said he also lost his sense of smell.

“Isa sa mga symptoms ng COVID is yung loss of smell and taste. I was afraid that it could be something like that,” Bitoy said.

The comedian also shared how difficult it was to be isolated from his family as part of precautionary measures to combat COVID-19.

“Honestly, I am worried not just for myself kundi pati sa pamilya ko. With your prayers and God’s help, I think we can go through this. I think it’s gonna be okay,” Michael V. said with teary eyes.

“Nakakainis lang isipin na ang lapit lapit nila, nasa kabilang kwarto lang, and yet hindi mo sila mayakap. Hindi mo sila mahalikan. I feel bad, but hopefully we will get through this and hopefully everything will be okay,” he added.

He underwent a swab test on the fifth day of his self-quarantine, and received the test results on the 8th day of isolation, Saturday, July 18, 2020.

Despite his situation, Michael V. still ended his vlog with a positive attitude and thanked his supporters who are praying for him.

“Tutuloy lang natin mga sinabi sa ‘tin na kailangan gawin and we’ll get through this. We’ve been through worse. Sobrang nami-miss ko na yung pamilya ko,” Michael V. said.
