The week has just started and yes, another controversial tea is being served on the table, and this time it’s for Mr. Clavio!

On Monday, former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Sarah Balabagan has been trending online after claiming that Kapuso broadcaster Arnold Clavio is the father of her firstborn.

The issue fired up after Balabagan addressed a write-up against Clavio which her name was involved.

In her recent Facebook live video, she admitted her past relationship with the journalist when she was still a minor. According to Sarah Balabagan, their relationship which had brought a child lasted for a year and she regretted having that chapter in her life.

“Ang ama po ng panganay ko ay yes, si Arnold Clavio po," Sarah said. 

She finally revealed her secret after 22 years because the issue resurfaced again. She assured her viewers that she asked consent from her family first before speaking up.

“Kaya ko 'to ginagawa dahil after 22 years, lumabas na naman. Sabi nga nila, walang bahong hindi lalabas. Hindi naman po ako nalungkot dahil by God’s grace, masaya na ako sa buhay ko,” she said. 

“Paano ‘pag wala na ako sa mundo? Tapos hindi ko ito kinorek? Baka mamaya maging multo pa ito sa anak ko."

She said that the first time she met the journalist was when he went to UAE when she was still in prison after killing her employer who has tried to rape her.

They got close when she arrived in the Philippines and Clavio was one of the journalists who covered that event and her case. Sarah said that she would call him “kuya” at that time.

She shared that Arnold gave Sarah her first tour of Manila and she admitted that they had a relationship from 1996 to 1997.

Sarah said that she was told not to admit her then-relationship with the journalist no matter what. “Walang aminan,” she said as a statement from Clavio.

Clavio's wife already reached out to her and ask for forgiveness; in her video, Sarah again extended her apologies to Clavio's wife and family, and also to her own family, for the pain that their affair caused in her video.

The said video was not intended to take vengeance on anyone but to simply tell the truth according to Sarah before ending her live video.

Before ending her video, Sarah clarified that she made the video not to take vengeance on anyone, but simply, to set the record straight.

"May mga nagtatanong sa'kin, 'Galit ka ba d'un sa nag-post (about her love child with Arnold)? Ang sabi ko nga, 'Hindi po. It's God's will para maitama ko na 'yung mga dapat i-tama'," Balabagan concluded.

As of now, there’s no official announcement yet from Clavio’s camp.  Meanwhile, netizens have expressed their reactions over the issue.
