By AJ Virtuz 02 Sep 2020 655

Attention, Blackjacks and GZBs! ‘Internet Mom’ CL has something for us tomorrow!

On Wednesday, September 02, 2020 in the morning, 2ne1 leader Lee Chaerin, also known as CL posted a photo on her social media accounts with a caption “GZBz! I got something fun for you guyz starting tomorrow.”

The K-pop rapper, singer, and writer then surprised fans with an eight-second teaser with “I go by the name of, you already know” text — a part of the lyrics from 2ne1’s debut song “Fire.” Fans then went all out on Twitter, making #CL_IS_BACK a trend worldwide, few hours after the teaser video’s release.

Watch the teaser video here:

CL announced on November 8, 2019 that she left her agency YG Entertainment and ended her contract with them. In an Instagram post, she opened up about her decision, saying:

"I started running even before I learned to walk, so without knowing how to walk or how to rest, I achieved a lot of things, realized a lot of things, and learned a lot of things in the past 13 years. I was happy to be able to live as CL, who could share myself with all of you, and I was also able to heal myself with the love that you all gave me."

CL is the leader of the iconic K-pop girl group 2ne1, comprised of other members Park Sandara, Gong Minzy, and Park Bom. The South Korean girl group announced their disbandment in 2016 after their huge international success.
