Calling all Directioners out there, there’s good news from the boys!!!
Today, July 23, 2020, marks the 10th year anniversary of one of the most popular and successful boy bands in music history, One Direction.
In 2010, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne, auditioned individually in the popular singing competition, X Factor UK, but turned as a group after Simon Cowell called them back when they failed at the bootcamp stage.
The boy group placed only third on the show’s seventh season, but their undeniable determination and faith to stay together led them into something bigger and drastically changed all of their lives. In 2015, Malik left the group and pursued a solo career.
According to the reports, there’s no official announcement if there will be a grand reunion happening for the boys, but on Thursday, it was announced that One Direction is coming up with special content on their 10-year anniversary.
The boys are launching an anniversary website and will release a celebration video specially made for their fans.
According to an article published by CapitalFM, UK’s no. 1 radio-based channel, there will also be never-before-seen videos, reformatted EPs, remixes, and acoustic versions of some of the band’s biggest songs.
Here’s a full list of what the One Direction website will contain:
- 10-year celebration video of all their highlights and candid moments.
- A timeline of the group’s complete history, from X Factor auditions to the hiatus.
- An archive of music videos, artwork, TV performances, and behind-the-scene contents.
