Overseas voting for 2022 Philippine Elections officially kicks off
Exercise your right to vote!
On Sunday, April 10, overseas Filipinos can now officially vote for national candidates in the 2022 Philippine elections. Over 1.6 million are registered to vote abroad – the lowest number since the start of overseas elections in 2004, considering that more than 2 million Filipinos were displaced and were sent back to the Philippines due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The voting will be month-long, starting yesterday to May 9, and they will be choosing for national positions such as: president, vice president, senators, and party-list groups.

Will Robredo continue to narrow the gap on Pulse Survey?
Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. continues to dominate the latest Pulse Asia survey results, meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo narrows the gap with a 9% increase across all regions and income levels represented by the poll.
Based on the latest Pulse survey, Marcos Jr. 's rating, despite the big lead, dropped by 4% points from his February 2022 numbers of 60%. On the other hand, closest rival, Robredo, recorded her all-time highest rating in any pre-election survey from Pulse Asia of 24% from 15% in February as her rating jumped by 9%.

Two Laguna bets gyrate their hips in a campaign
On Tuesday, the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines called out the “inappropriate behavior” by the two local bets from Laguna during a campaign rally.
CHR slammed the acts of Calamba Mayor Timmy Chipeco and Cabuyao councilor Tutti Caringal as they were seen singing and gyrating their hips while sitting in front of a female supporter.
One of the candidates also dared to remove the face mask of the said supporter, albeit we’re in the middle of a pandemic.
CHR Spokesperson, Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, released a statement denouncing the deed of the two local bets.

Uniteam Supporters’ world record claim, denied by Guinness

On March 30, 2022, Guinness shook their head and claimed the Uniteam supporters’ gathering in Ilocos Norte as the “world’s longest motorcade” as false.
