Para saan pa ang pagkayod sa pag-aaral kung hahayaan lang din palang makaupo sa bansa natin ang taong hindi naman nakapagtapos ng pag-aaral at pinepeke lang ang kredensyal? Para saan pa ang mga debate sa eskuwelahan kung meron naman palang nananalong kandidato na hindi sumasali sa mga ito? Bakit ka pa magbabasa ng maraming libro kung hindi rin sila makikinig sa'yo sa mga napag-aralan mo? ...

As the election results approach, many people are concerned about what will happen once the presidential winner is declared. Regardless of who wins, the country will be affected for the next six years and beyond. We have been living in the dark under an authoritarian regime that has failed to confront poverty, drugs, corruption, violence, and change, as well as the epidemic and the resulting economic disaster. The main character in the 2022 Philippine elections is not the victor but the voter. A citizen’s right to vote is his, but the weight of everyone affected by that one vote should be added to conscience.    We must unlearn the lie that nothing changes whoever wins the elections, and that it is up to us individually to help ourselves.
