Despite failing to win the presidency in the May 2022 election, outgoing Vice President will end her six-year term on a good note as the Office of the Vice President or OVP received once more an unqualified opinion from the Commission on Audit. This will be the fourth consecutive year, from 2018-202,1 that the OVP received the highest audit rating given by COA on any government agency in the country.
According to COA, they have found that OVP's financial statements led by Robredo followed the applicable reporting framework, in addition it shows a fair and transparent compliance report.
On her official Twitter account, VP Leni described the COA grant on ending term as a fitting exclamation point.
“We were granted an unqualified opinion by the Commission on Audit for the 4th straight year (2018-2021)!!! What a fitting exclamation point to our 6 years at the OVP🙏🙏”
Now that Robredo has set the record for the office of the vice president in obtaining four straight highest audits, it is now in the hands of her successor Vice President Sara Duterte to continue achieving the same goal as she sits in the office by June 30.
On the other hand, VP Leni also announced the launch of Angat Buhay non-government organization on July 1, Friday once she steps down as vice president. The launch will be a two-day street and art festival at the volunteer center in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City. The festival will feature some of the iconic artworks and memorabilias that VP Leni received during the rallies in various provinces across the country she visited during the campaign period.
