Based on the Chinese novel In his Youth, In his Beauty, this critically acclaimed and award-winning film tells a story of a young high school girl named Chen Nian raised by his mother who wasn't at all present in her life. This  tackles the sensitive topic of bullying among schools and the negative impact it stains on the lives of the victims. Chen Nian became the subject of severe bullying that escalated from simple humiliation to outright assault. Blessing in disguise, she unlikely met Xiao Bei, her protector, where they formed a surprising bond and romance born of necessity. The duo faced a series of tragic circumstances that plunged them into accidentally killing someone. The scenes at the ending shouldn't be missed! 

The Pursuit Of Happyness 

Based on the real story of a man named Chris Gardner, a single-father and a salesman in the busy state of San Francisco in 1981.  A man who is in search of his purpose and the genuine meaning of happiness in life. Evicted from their home, he and his son were left homeless, without a shelter, without a single penny. Trying to survive each day through sheer determination and hardwork, Chris climbs mountains to be the best to provide for his son. He did not give up even when the world gave up on him.

A Walk to Remember

You may recall the novel of the same name from Nicholas Sparks, yes this is that one but just change a little. A story about the classic romantic tale of two vastly different teenagers in the little town of Beaufort, North Carolina. Landon Carter, a famous and wealthy guy who seems to have no plan in life, was forced to join a play where he met the Reverend's daughter Jamie Sullivan, a shy, religious, and reserved young lady. The two worked hand in hand to  deliver the best performance but an unexpected change of heart sparked a relationship between the two. It was a feeling of butterflies in the stomach at first but an unfortunate event occured that led them to the walk they will surely remember in life even after death. 

Me Before You

Do not forget some tissues when you watch this one! Young, fun, outgoing, artistic and quirky, that sums up who Louisa Clark or Lou for short is, played by Emilia Clarke. Lou moves from one job to another just to help her family to make ends meet. As a breadwinner in the family Lou does everything just to survive even becoming a caregiver. Will Traynor played by Sam Claflin is a wealthy and handsome banker who was left paralyzed from a car accident. Cheerful Lou was put to a test as Will was cold and stubborn. Despite that, Lou changes Will's outlook the best way possible. Their bond deepens in the most romantic yet tear jerking way. 

Hachi: A Dog's Tale 

Losing a pet-- no, a family member is one of the most heartbreaking moments in a person's life. The story of Hachi  probably is the most  well-known tale of a dog there is. Hachi fascinates the world on how loyal and loving he is-- and persistent too. The story follows a dog from Japan who journeyed all the way to the US in a train. By destiny, Hachi met Parker who became his family, who gave him another chance in life. At dawn they bid goodbye at the train station, at dusk they met again but one day Hachi was all alone waiting but Parker did not come. Hachi waited for his comeback, year after year after year till he breathed his last breath. 

Call me by your name 

Set in the 1980's in the beautiful countryside of Northern Italy where a beautiful yet melancholic portrait of first love occured. A 17 year old young man named Elio spent his summer with his family in their 17th century villa in Lombardy. There he met Oliver, a 24 year old attractive and good-looking doctoral student working as an intern to his father. A sudden and powerful romance blossoms with the two as they discover the beauty of awakening desire and as how they spend their days together.  But I will tell you now, it didn't end the way we wanted it to. That phone call at the end of the movie will leave you broken hearted but it is what it is.

Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump is a man with a low IQ and is short witted but despite his situation, he did not let any of those obstacles and tribulation interfere with his happiness and hinder what he aspires in life.
