Taking over the slot of the K-drama that broke everyone’s hearts – Twenty Five, Twenty One – Our Blues is finally on Netflix. This new omnibus drama follows the stories of people from Jeju Island seeking happiness in life as they face and overcome different challenges. 

The viewers have high expectations with the comeback of the writer, No Hee Kyung, and with its star-studded cast: Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Cha Seung Won, Han Ji Min, Lee Jung Eun, and Uhm Jung Hwa.

This webtoon based drama follows the story of Choi Jun-Woong (Rowoon) who is struggling to get a stable job regardless of his good credentials and family background. He then met Gu Ryeon (Kim Hee-seon) and Lim Ryung Goo (Yun Ji-on), the angels of death, who have the duty to save suicidal people.

MBC described this as the drama that would convey warmth and sympathy to those who are living in a difficult reality.

The In Between

Reviews say that this is the perfect movie for “me time” night. Starring Joey King (The Kissing Booth), Kyle Allen, and Kim Dickens, this American romantic teenage movie talks about Tess who survived a car accident that took the life of her boyfriend.  She believes that he is trying to reconnect with her through sending signs from beyond the grave. Just a friendly advice, you better prepare your tissues because you would be needing it for this. 

The Sound of Magic

In case you miss Ji Chang Wook (Lovestruck City) and Hwang In Yeop (True Beauty), then don’t worry, they are coming back really soon! This musical fantasy drama is based on another webtoon about a magician living in an abandoned theme park who can make worries disappear and gives hope for disheartened teenagers. Heartstopper

Graphic novel fans, this one’s for you. Alice Oseman’s Heartstopper, an LGBTQ coming-of-age English series, is finally arriving on Netflix. The story features an unexpected romance blossoming between Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Conner). Witness how they discover more about their relationship as they navigate school and young love.
